The Essex MBA community

"Before my MBA I was working in International Relations and CSR with a focus on social innovation. My background helps me understand the relationship between how a company works, the impact it has on its surroundings and how companies could have other objectives besides profit, such as sustainability. This aligns perfectly with The Essex MBA. After graduating I want to continue to promote initiatives that have a beneficial impact on communities."

Essex Business School, University of Essex

James is our MBA Director, and joined the University of Essex in 2019 as a Lecturer in Management. He was previously an Associate Lecturer at the University of York and prior to that, an Officer in the Armed Forces where he held a series of appointments in the Educational and Training Services branch. He leads on all aspects of our MBA programme and enjoys teaching our candidates as well as leading the MBA team of academics and business specialists .

Darshiny is our MBA Recruitment Manager for Essex Business School. As well as meeting with prospective students from across the world at our recruitment events and answering all your MBA questions, Darshiny also leads on interviewing MBA candidates and is on hand to offer advice on the recruitment process.
